INDOOR CLUB CHAMPIONS

On Tuesday, sixteen bowlers played three games of twelve ends of pairs indoors to determine the club pairs indoor champions for the 2010 season.  The winning pair was Lorna Brown(s) and Maureen Cromie with three wins and a total of 31 shots up.  In their first game they played Maureen Lyon(s) and Anne Degan.  Lorna and Maureen started this game strongly and led 7-1 after four ends.  They then kept Maureen  and Anne to 1 shot on each of the five remaining ends while they had multiple scores on the other ends to win the game 14-6.  In their second game, Lorna and Maureen played Yvonne Dows(s) and Val Haag.  Lorna and Maureen started this game very strongly and led 11-0 after five ends.  They then went on to increase their lead and win the game 23-7.  In their third game, Lorna and Maureen played Betty Brown(s) and Marg Price.  Once again Lorna and Maureen started strongly and led 7-2 after five ends.  Betty and Marg then fought back and won the next three ends to make the score 7-5 in Lorna’s favour.  However, Lorna and Maureen then lifted and increased their lead to win the game 14-7.
