On Monday 24 bowlers from Benalla, Swanpool and Mansfield clubs played 2 games of 12 ends in ideal bowling weather.  The winning team for the day was Rod Mildrem (s) Vie Smith and Gwen Mildrem with 2 wins and 7shots up in the second game.   In the first game they played Martin Welsh (s) Lynda Wilson and Lyn Hickey.   After 5 ends Martin’s team was leading 5-1.   However Rod’s team fought back and won the next 7 ends and went on to win the game 13-6.   In their second game they played  Merv Sellars (s), Dorothy McFazdean and Len Griffith.   Merv’s team won the first 2 ends but Rod’s team fought back scoring 5 shots on the 10^th end and then going onto win the game 14-7.   The runner-up was Martin Welsh’s team with 16-6 win in their second game.
